Welcome to the premier makeup school of Hampton Roads. The Makeup School By Sarah Rillon offers inclusive makeup and hairstyling educational services, along with providing on-site and location makeup application and hairstyling. These services have been developed and fine tuned over the last two decades with a core focus on addressing the key client need and associated opportunity of comprehensive cosmetic/makeup education in the Hampton Roads area.

This training facility and beauty bar offers one-of-a-kind services and teaching sessions. Various packages include “Bridal DIY” lessons, Bachelorette or “Girls Night Out” activities, as well as “Shop with Me” makeup shopping sessions.

The Makeup School is also the first beauty establishment to introduce the Beauty Alliance membership card. This allows members the opportunity to receive monthly makeup and/or hair services. Members will also acquire product knowledge and reviews, beauty trade secrets and access to exclusive seminars from The Makeup School team and other renowned professional makeup and hair artists from around the world.

We are specifically tailored to deliver value to aspiring or existing makeup artists, along with everyday people who want to learn more about makeup application on themselves and/or others. The school will provide students of all skill levels the ability to learn extensively from professionals who are patient, passionate teachers and highly experienced in all facets of the beauty industry.

Meet Sarah Rillon, Founder

Sarah Rillon, owner and founder, has dedicated her life and career honing her beauty talents, training and mentoring other aspiring artists and actively freelancing for 16 years. For 11 years, Sarah has also managed a successful team of creatives, along with facilitating numerous makeup seminars for the number one global prestige cosmetics brand, MAC Cosmetics. Sarah and her team have consistently provided makeup and hairstyling services to thousands of clients for special events and weddings year after year, all derived from existing client referrals.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she completed her collegiate studies in Southern California, and currently resides in Hampton Roads. Sarah has inherited a loyal following and diverse client base from all over the nation. She continues to gain local and international followers through her social media platforms on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Her work can be found in publications such as Hampton Roads Magazine, Vow, The Scout Guide, and People, just to name a few. She has also worked on set for various television stations, such as WHRO and TLC, along with several film productions and national commercial campaigns. Sarah specializes in beauty, airbrush, body art, bridal, special occasion, high fashion and editorial makeup application. Sarah also was awarded the “Best Makeup Artist Award 2014” for ACHI Magazine amongst a list of 150 nominees in Hampton Roads.

In May 2013, Sarah Rillon facilitated her first large-scale makeup seminar for her personal brand “Sarah Rillon MUA.” This seminar broadened her vision for the want and need of schooling for makeup artistry in Hampton Roads. Nowadays, she continues to receive ongoing education from the pillars of the beauty industry – to keep her an expert of her trade.
